El Paso Fire Department Boot Drive  Dear Brothers and Sisters, On August 17, 2009 we will kick off the First Annual Fill the Boot on Duty Campaign running through August 22nd. Even though this will be carried out while on duty, it is still on a voluntary basis. I would both encourage and challenge you all to make the effort to get out and support MDA. With the number of personnel we have and the size of our city, our department has the potential to surpass many of the other departments in Texas and quite possibly come in first for 2009. As I write you, all the supplies you will need to carry out this great cause are being delivered to fire stations throughout El Paso. Attached are some general guidelines to follow as well as contact names and phone numbers to assist you. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at 317-8304. Attention all Firefighters!!! Austin Fire Department has issued a Fill The Boot challenge to the EPFD. Lets show these boys what West Texas Firefighters can do.
