    Retired Captain JC Harper

    HARPER John C. Harper, 59, (Retired El Paso Fire Fighter) born August 22, 1951 in El Paso, Texas was called to the side of his Lord and Savior on the morning of Friday, February 4, 2011. John was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Carnes and brother Larry Carnes. Those who will remember him always are his wife, Blanca Estela Harper; mother, Imogene Cox; brother, Danny Cox; sisters, Sherry Engle, Cindy Lampron and Kathy Gahan; sons, Curtis Harper and David Duran; daughters, Wendy Smith and Joanna Leitch; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren as well as many other friends and family. John graduated from Bel Air High school in 1969. He was an avid Houston Texas fan. He enjoyed playing golf with his friends and his chocolate shakes. 2 Timothy 1:4 "I long to see you again, for I remember your tears as we parted. And I will be filled with joy when we are together again." We will rejoice in his life as we know John is at peace and joyful to be home with our Lord and Savior. Visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service to begin at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Park Hills Christian Church located at 5701 Alabama. Graveside Services will begin at 11:30 am, Wednesday February 9, 2011 at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Homes-Northeast.
