    Robert Wilde

    Robert E. "Bob" Wilde, 81 of Wichita Falls, died Thursday, February 4, 2010. The funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 8, 2010, in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls. Bob was born June 1, 1928, in Scotland, Texas, the son of Theodore and Mary Wilde. He and his six brothers and sisters grew up on a farm in Windthorst. He served in the US Army in Japan from 1946 until1948. He was awarded the WWII Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal. After his military service, hr returned to Wichita Falls, where he lived until he took a job with the El Paso Texas Fire Department. He retired in 1980 at the rank of Chief. He lived in Ponta Texas from 1981 until 1995 and returned to Wichita Falls, where he resided until his death. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Mary Willde, his brothers Alvin, Hubert and William and his sister Helen Dupape. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Argretta Wilde of Wichita Falls; children, Robbie & Linda Wilde of Ft. Worth Texas; Terry & Rick Braziel of San Antonio Texas, Marie & Leo Trisollini of Camden Arkansas; Thomas Martin of Portland Oregon, Rita Albridge of Cleveland Ohio; Eugene Smith of Los Alamos Colorado; sisters, Evelyn King, Dorothy Gambrill and Helen Wilde; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, February 7, 2010, at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
